On the maternal side, we find in Barones' pedigree another thoroughly bred BWP mare line, the Qerly Chin line, which generation after generation produces show jumpers for the highest level. We could write a book about this line alone. Olijfje JW van de Moerhoeve, the dam of Barones, is a half-sister to Quest van de Vossendries (performs at 1m45-1m50 level) and to Oilily JW van de Moerhoeve, who in turn is the dam of Rio van de Groenhoeve, currently one of the best seven-year-old show jumpers.
