Good-natured, forward-going leisure horse

With a heavy heart, we are looking for a 5-star home for Cosette.

Cosette is a beautiful grey mare, 16 years old, Holsteiner, with a height of approx. 1.65 m. Despite her age, she is still incredibly fit, energetic, and willing to work. She loves to move and is forward-going, which makes her unsuitable for a beginner. For Cosette, we are therefore looking for an experienced leisure rider who primarily wants to enjoy lovely trail rides.

Cosette is an incredibly brave and reliable horse. She is 100% bombproof in traffic: trucks, tractors, cows, and other traffic are no problem for her. She also hacks out alone very well. She is reliable, tough, and gives her rider a lot of confidence, but due to her forward character, she requires someone with experience.

In terms of handling, Cosette is well-behaved. She is good with the farrier, well-behaved on the trailer, and sweet in daily interaction. When saddling, she can sometimes show some typical mare behavior, but otherwise, she is an honest and fine horse to deal with. She is good with other horses but can also be alone.

Cosette is not being sold for sport. We are looking for a good home for her with turnout and plenty of attention. The reason for the sale is that my sporting ambitions lie elsewhere than trail riding, meaning I can no longer offer her what she deserves.

A good home is more important to us than the price. We will only sell Cosette to the right match and would like to stay in touch. Price on agreement.
