All-rounder schoolmaster for sale

With a heavy heart, we offer our fantastic gelding Ipon du Roi for sale. Ipon is a 13-year-old KWPN gelding (Starpower x Chin Chin), 1.76 m tall and dark bay in color.

Ipon is currently jumping courses at 1.10 m and 1.20 m, but certainly has the scope to jump higher. In dressage, he is trained up to Level 2 (niveau 2), giving him a fine foundation under saddle.

In handling, Ipon is a true teddy bear. He thoroughly enjoys attention, has great respect for people, and is a pleasure to work with daily. He is well-behaved at the farrier, vet, and physiotherapist, has no stable vices, and gets along excellently with other horses.

Under saddle, Ipon has a bit more blood. He will never buck or rear, but can be a bit spooky. On unfamiliar ground, he likes to make himself bigger to show he is present, without becoming naughty or unpleasant.

Ipon loves variety. He enjoys hack outs, both in a group and alone. In a group, he runs effortlessly both in front and behind. Out alone he is also well-behaved, although he can still be occasionally spooky.

He loads without problems onto all kinds of transport, such as a horse trailer, horse lorry, or small van.

We would love to see Ipon go to a rider transitioning from pony to horse or someone who wants to compete, but above all is looking for a reliable and versatile horse to have a lot of fun with.

The only reason for sale is our complete switch to dressage sport. Ipon thoroughly enjoys jumping and deserves a rider who will let him shine further in it.
