Bretagne

The elegant Bretagne VDL was one of the eye-catchers at the Oldenburg stallion licensing in early 2025. Bretagne is a modern and long-lined stallion with three strong gaits who is developing very strongly under saddle. He comes from the first crop of the Hanoverian premium stallion Be Sure, who won the Bundeschampionate for six-year-olds under Eva Möller. Based on his performance at the licensing and in the 35-day test in Denmark, Be Sure was already named Danish champion at the age of four. The grandsire is the sire Secret, and behind him is the Olympic stallion Totilas.

On the dam's side, Bretagne VDL has also inherited a lot of movement quality and dressage talent. He is a grandson of the international Grand Prix mare MSJ Top Secret. This Totilas daughter was already successful as a young horse under Charlotte Dujardin and is a half-sister to the Intermediaire II-classified stallion MSJ Benchmark (by Bordeaux). In the third generation, Bretagne VDL goes back to a half-sister of the international Grand Prix horse Flavio (by Florencio). This makes this future talent a descendant of a strong lineage.
